چکیده
Amami-Oshima and Tokunoshima Islands (the Amami Islands) are part of an important area for biogeography in Japan. Although the uniqueness islands' flora is well recognized, their plant diversity, including non-tree life forms, has yet to be compared with that other regions. Here, we characterize community structure Islands, analyze α β diversity patterns respect environmental factors as frequency threatened endemic species regions at higher lower latitudes. We used 5 × 100 m plots seven sites on three further north, one site south record abundance all vascular tree sizes. also census data from five Monitoring Sites 1000 Project. Three principal components variables were affecting diversity. found broad-leaved evergreen forests have resulting richness anomalies shared families among Additionally, generalized linear mixed models indicated temperature altitude affect positively. Furthermore, multiple regression distance matrices showed regional differences weather conditions Tree rareness, but herbaceous plants these parameters substantially. These results indicate two studied islands biodiversity hotspots evaluating determining forest biodiversity.

Native and alien plant species inventory and diversity in disturbed forests and its economic value
The study was conducted to assess the native and alien plant species in one of the highly disturbed forest (S1) and less disturbed forest (S2) in Mt. Manunggal, Cebu Island, Philippines. Twenty-four quadrats with a size of 20mx20 m were established using a quadrat sampling technique to identify and record all plant species. Diversity indices were utilized to determine species abundance, richnes...
متن کاملLocal Factors Determine Plant Community Structure on Closely Neighbored Islands
Despite the recent popularity of the metacommunity concept, ecologists have not evaluated the applicability of different metacommunity frameworks to insular organisms. We surveyed 50 closely spaced islands in the Thousand-Island Lake of China to examine the role of local (environmental) and regional (dispersal) factors in structuring woody plant assemblages (tree and shrub species) on these isl...

Assessment of forest soil and vegetation characteristics provides basic and essential information for the protection and rehabilitation measures in forest ecosystems. Therefore, regard to the importance of this issue, the distribution of different soil properties and vegetation diversity in relation to conservation management and degradation investigated in the oak forests of Ilam province usin...
متن کاملPlant genetic determinants of arthropod community structure and diversity.
To test the hypothesis that genes have extended phenotypes on the community, we quantified how genetic differences among cottonwoods affect the diversity, abundance, and composition of the dependent arthropod community. Over two years, five major patterns were observed in both field and common-garden studies that focused on two species of cottonwoods and their naturally occurring F1 and backcro...
